Details: Through an employment background screening exercise for existing middle to high level positions of their factory personnel, a manufacturing company in Johor discovered that some of their employees had disciplinary actions with their previous employers, one being for pandering activities. After much investigation on this one employee, the company realized that he was also conducting the same activities within their factory premises, pimping out the younger girls who worked there! This employee was of course, immediately brought for questioning with the relevant authorities involved.
Employment background screening does not mean that it can only be done at the initial hiring stage. It can be done for existing employees who did not go through the background screening process when they were first hired. In addition, annual audits are particularly useful just to get that update on your employees’ civil litigation, industrial court or financial probity status, giving you a peace of mind, year after year.
