To be eligible for an Employment Pass (EP), the individual needs a minimum score of 40 points in MOM's assessment framework, COMPASS. One area of assessment comes from "Qualifications," where up to 20 points can be earned based on the education level and the institution.

Starting September 1, 2023, employers must verify a candidate’s education qualification(s) through an MOM-approved Screening Provider when applying for an Employment Pass (EP). This verification proof must be submitted with the application, alongside a Reference Number provided.

The same requirement applies to Employment Pass (EP) renewals from September 1, 2024.

Verity Intelligence provides Singapore Employment Pass (EP) Education Checks for individuals with education qualifications from Australia, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Singapore MOM will make this decision based on their assessment framework. Verity Intelligence’s role is to conduct authenticity and/or accreditation checks as requested and provide the Education Background Check & Summary Report accordingly. The final outcome is determined by Singapore MOM.

The Employment/S Pass SAT allows you to assess whether your candidate qualifies for an Employment/S Pass before initiating the application or renewal process. To utilise the SAT, log in with your SingPass at www.mom.gov.sg.

If you're uncertain about whether a Professional Certificate requires verification, please reach out to the Singapore MOM for guidance and advice.

Only educational qualifications at the diploma level and above, require verification. In any case, we would advise you to seek further clarification with MOM on the requirements as it will depend on whichever course that is relevant.

We can attempt to verify with a Completion or Conferment Letter, for those who have recently completed their studies and are awaiting graduation. However, please be informed that once the verification process has commenced, and if we are unable to provide a Verified Result, our service charges are non-refundable.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This option is applicable only for individuals pending graduation. This does not apply to those who have graduated years ago, lost their certificate, etc.

Depending on the internal policies and processes of the respective Education Institutions, the verification time will vary. Our Turnaround Times indicated are based on our experience over the last 10 years.

As the success of an Employment Pass (EP) Application is determined by several areas based on Singapore MOM’s assessment framework, you will need to reach out to them to clarify on the details of your application.

There will also be instances where an Education Institution does not keep records or verify the “Period of Study”. This has been highlighted and addressed with Singapore MOM and the verification result of “Unable To Verify – Despite Numerous Attempts” can be accepted.
