Background screening companies – like Verity Intelligence – can often be mistaken for private investigators. Is Verity Intelligence a private investigation agency? In short: no.
Private investigators usually work alongside lawyers in the court of law! Unlike our private investigator friends, all the information we gather is publicly available from universities, ex-companies of employment, and credit reporting agencies etc.
The difference: Consent
The only thing needed is consent from the individual. And people who wish to be hired, generally allow consent. Unless they have something to hide. This way, background screenings minimises the risk of potential, unwanted incidences that can be prevented by simply checking a candidate’s past behavior.
In essence, background screening conducted on a potential employee or business partner is simply to verify that a person is truly qualified as they claimed to be, and are right for the job or partnership.
This way, productivity and satisfaction go up, benefiting the whole organisation – including the individual concerned!
Coming back to the answer
Verity Intelligence is not a private investigator. But what it does have in common with private investigators is a passion for uncovering the truth!
